About Event

The 67th Milestone is the first of its kind; a progression of events hosted at BMU. Created with a vision to ignite a driving force within the youth, each event would be themed to highlight a social cause. The 67th Milestone would bring together a variety of individuals who share a motivation towards a better society. It will act as a means to raise awareness about important social causes by providing the perfect platform to advocate such issues.
Battle of the Bands 2016, is the inaugural event of The 67th Milestone, at BMU. We aim to utilise this platform to celebrate and recognise the diversity of music. Battle of the Bands will showcase the talent of 12 selected bands from all over the country in an attempt to exhibit the power of music.

Our mission is to promote the diversity of music in India and to use music as a tool to make a change. A study of the arts provides children with an internal glimpse of other cultures and teaches them to be empathetic towards the people of these cultures. This development of compassion and empathy, as opposed to development of greed and a “me first” attitude, provides a bridge across cultural chasms that leads to respect of humanity at an early age. With this in mind, we partnered with Music Basti.
